Nick Coope
Thanks for stopping by! I’m Nick Coope, a full-time Controls Systems Design Engineer, living in Hull, England.
During the past twenty years, I have gained extensive exposure to an array of knowledge and disciplines leading to expertise in developing, designing, and applying umpteen PLC control systems for automated special-purpose machinery.
From being responsible for the complete electrical design, writing PLC software and commissioning of fully automated process lines in the UK, to having to dismantle them all, and put them all back to together again in the Czech Republic, I’ve worked through many challenges in my 20+ years of working professionally with industrial automation.
After graduating as it were, from The Fin Machine Company in 1994, I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with a large number of clients in multiple industry sectors.
From chemical, steel & foundry, automotive and numerous manufacturing industries, my role within those companies ranged from electrical design and writing PLC software, integration, standardisation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of complex automation processes and production lines at factories in different parts of the world.
Nowadays, I enjoy working as a self-employed Controls Systems Design Engineer writing PLC software and managing full lifecycle of automated systems from initial concept to on-site commissioning and troubleshooting. And to this day, seeing a machine running smoothly and precisely as the customer wants always puts a smile on my face.
